about mario

Mario’s late teens and early twenties were spent
traveling around the country, hitch-hiking, exploring,
building friendships, building a treehouse, herding sheep, street performing, and so much more. Eventually, he found himself
back in his hometown in New York and decided to pursue his greatest passion, magic, professionally. At first it was only a weekend gig, and Mario’s weekdays were spent as a special education teacher aide
for an inspiring group of kids at Putnam/Northern Westchester
BOCES. Eventually, four years ago, the magic business became
a full-time endeavor. Mario and his wife, Katie, are proud and committed totheir vision of providing undyingly positive, uplifting, inventive, imaginative, and utterly unique entertainment for the
young and young-at-heart.

Mario & Katie were fortunate to have the opportunity to publish a children’s magic card trick book for Barnes & Noble in 2008. And several of Mario’s handcrafted magic creations are currently featured at the world-renowned Tannen’s Magic Store.

In addition to being a magician, Mario is also
a visual artist, and his interactive artwork can
be seen at www.mariomarchese.com.
